Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Global Business
Development
Patricia Donahue has 20 years of global
business development experience in pharmaceutical,
biotechnology and drug delivery industries leading corporate
transactions and collaborations on the buy and sell side
under a variety of deal structures with emerging and
established commercial entities. Her experience spans from
small molecule and antibody product development, marketing
and sales, strategic planning, and program, alliance and
operations management. This breadth and depth of experience
provides unique insights to create innovative deal
structures, value and differentiate products and
technologies, improve communications across all functions
and levels, and focus limited resources to deliver
exceptional outcomes. As a global business development
leader at XOMA, Ms. Donahue increased value through fully-
funded antibody discovery and development collaborations
which delivered over $56M in realized revenue and had the
potential for $500M in additional milestone and royalty
payments. As a member of the global business development
teams within multi-national pharmaceutical companies, she
led global scouting for products or technologies, created
and implemented standard procedures for approval and
execution of deals, facilitated M&A asset evaluation,
managed US, Europe and Asia collaborations to exceed
pipeline and revenue expectations, and managed
cross-functional, cross-national teams to bring two products
through clinical development to launch. Ms. Donahue holds a
B.A. in biology and chemistry from Gustavus Adolphus College
and a MBA in management from the University of St. Thomas. |
