Cori Gorman, Ph.D., MBA, of DNA Bridges, Inc. is an expert in gene expression and protein productions as well as gene transfer include ding gene therapy. She has first hand knowledge about the review process for federal grants having served on an SBIR review committee at the NIH for over five years. Ina addition to being a successful PI on five SBIR grants, she has coached others in grant writing so that they have also been successful in obtaining funds in the millions. Cori has worked at Genentech, was a founder of Valentis, a gene therapy company, and is one of the most highly cited scientists in the past two decades with more than 10,000 citations. Eileen Gorman, Ph.D., USPTO Registered Patent Agent, of DNA Bridges, Inc., is an expert in technology development from inception to commercialization based on positions at NIH and industry. With a strong technical background in biochemistry, and real business leadership roles, she has helped clients keep grant applications focused on basic business goals. She attends the national SBIR conference held by NIH each year and has worked with clients to raise millions in federal funding over the last 5 years Shauna Farr-Jones, Ph.D., of BioIntelligence, is a biochemist with experience in academic research, business development, and medical writing. She specializes in drug discovery technologies including microarrays, high throughput screening, and SNP detection. Previously, she analyzed and wrote about strategic market issues affecting biotechnology companies for BioCentury Publications. Her academic research focused on protein structure determination using NMR and bioinformatics software for structural biology studies. Gail Schechter, Ph.D., of
BioIntelligence, is a neuroscientist with experience in the
pharmaceutical industry, academic medicine, and the National
Institutes of Health. As President of BioIntelligence for the past
10 years, she has written millions of dollars of successful grants
for many small companies. Previously, she worked at Genentech, was a
clinical faculty member at the Stanford University School of
Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry, and spent ten years doing
neuropharmacology research at the NIH.
