Shaan Libby (formerly Shaan
Katari) provides market research and partnering opportunities, especially with the UK in order to facilitate business partnerships between companies in the US and the UK. Shaan’s previous work as Vice Consul (Trade) with the British Consulate-General, San Francisco from October 2000 through March 2005 provides her with a unique perspective in this arena. Her role was U.S.-wide Biotechnology lead officer with responsibility for UK trade development work in this sector. The work involved producing market research reports for specific companies. Today she continues this work and leverages both her scientific and legal backgrounds.
Shaan did her Undergraduate and Masters in Biological
Sciences, and a further Graduate degree in Jurisprudence
(Law) in the UK (Christ Church, University of Oxford). She
then went on to qualify as a Barrister having done Bar
School in London and being subsequently called to the Bar by
the Honorable Society of Lincoln's Inn. While at Bar
School she opted for International Trade, Intellectual
Property, and European Community Law.
